During 2015 Goodfellows celebrated 25 years in the industry and each branch was involved in fundraising events which both raised our profile locally, and worked with the community to provide support to raise money for specific schools and charities.
The smiles in the photographs are an indication of the fun and enjoyment that we had and we’re really proud of the staff who got fully involved to help raise over £10,000 in total. It’s a staggering amount and we’re looking to beat that during 2016.
The continued sponsorship of The Old Ruts Rugby and Cricket Club provides us with a local focus for 3 of our branches – situated between Merton Park, Morden and Raynes Park, it’s been host to a number of events over the years and Goodfellows are looking forward to continuing our involvement with their music festivals and charity matches.
Sport plays a big part in the company with sponsorship of AFC Wimbledon Girls team and Mitcham cricket club. We also have our own football team who play annual matches and raise money for St Raphael’s Hospice.
Schools have featured more this year, with a number of school fairs at Christmas and in the summer – staff have attended with a Lego House and children tried to guess the number of bricks in the house to win it.
Events in the offices ranged from Art evenings, Halloween parties, Macmillan Coffee Mornings to mince pies and mulled wine evenings.
Don’t forget your Christmas Jumpers this year raised a tremendous £80.
In short, we’ve had an amazing year and are really looking forward to building on all the successes and relationships we’ve made this year. If you’ve been involved in any of them or would like to find out more about how to get involved, pop into your local branch or visit our Facebook page for more details.
